In 2020 at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, my husband Ryan and I began delivering fresh chicken, eggs and milk from the local farms for people on the island who were either anxious about going to the supermarket or who couldn’t get any access to food locally.
It became apparent to us that the need for this service was a real lifeline to some of the people we were delivering to, and more importantly sometimes being the only people that they would see throughout their day. It became a real joy for us to help and meet new people every day and from there we were asked to source lots of different products.

So we have escalated this and opened our local store in Porters Place, St. James, Ryan's Happy Place Grocery Store whereby we have been able to supply all the every day necessities that you may need, together with products from many local farmers and suppliers in Barbados, freshly made bread, sauces, jams, pepper sauce, pesto sauce, cakes, sausage rolls, fresh patties vegetables and ready made meals.
